Get to Know “She Worthy”

Have you seen that cute little pink boat at PYC?  She Worthy, a 1977 Santana 20, is PYC’s newest addition to its fleet and she’s ready to sail!

While all that racing is great fun, the purpose of this boat is to encourage women to get out there and simply go sailing.  Saturday June, 23rd, we will hold our first “Get to know She Worthy” session at PYC.  Please join us at 9 a.m. to take her for a spin.  While this isn’t a “how to sail” class, we certainly don’t expect anyone to be an expert.  So come on and let’s simply go out for some fun sailing together.  She’s a great boat and a blast to sail.  None of us are pros, but we can sure have a great time learning!

Be BOLD!!!  Bring your life jacket, a pair of non-marking/closed toed shoes, sailing gloves if you have them and be ready to fall in love.  You will be so glad you did!!!  Saturday morning, 9 a.m. on Sunset Dock.  Comment below to say you are in!!!

Questions?  Call Joan at (913) 648-6028 or (913) 226-2617 or email allenhouse4@sbcglobal.net.  LET’S GO SAILING!!!

Gosh, this is killing me. Wish I could be there. Still paying back time at my job at work for time off in May/ early June.
    Have a great time.
I do have some cooling pink neck ties for the ladies made by a friend that I will drop off when we are at the Lake. Enjoy the day.

I’ll be there – on Sunset anyway. Spencer has junior sailing so I’ll be playing with Asher, but I’d love to take a look around.

I have been looking forward to this. See you at 0900.

I went sailing on She’s Worthy this last weekend and She is Awesome! I loved it and it seems to be an easier boat to learn the basics of sailing, for me anyway. Of course I had a great teacher, Joan Allen. The little pink boat rates a 10 with me and I look forward in sailing on her again.

So happy we had 4 people come out to give She Worthy a spin this weekend. A big thank you to Trish Diehl, Dianne and Jim Gutherie and Bonnie Aplin. She Worthy is winning hearts at every tack and jibe!
