Nominations for Member of the Year.  Voting ends the day of club closing. You are allowed two votes per membership, using the two ballots below.

BRETT BITNER - He is always willing to help others with their boats.  He has time to discuss their problems and lend a helping hand.  He has a can do attitude.  Has the most knowledge of fixing things.  A true asset to the club.

PATTY HAYDEN (ANDERSON) - She has been a valuable member of PYC for many years.  As a member of the Commodore's Cup Committee she has worked tirelessly behind the scenes doing lots of planning, shopping, deep cleaning the kitchen so food can be prepared safely, and lots and lots of cooking. Did you enjoy the muffins at Commodore's Cup the past two years?  She single handedly made each one from scratch, no box mix muffins for her PYC friends!  She’s also responsible for the breakfast burritos we’ve enjoyed the last 2 years.  Patty is always willing to jump right in and help out!

TED LISCHER - Has worked very hard to promote college, high school, and Junior Sailing to our next generation of sailors.  The future of the sport of sailing lies in the hands of people of his passions and tenacity.  Because of his efforts PYC has become known as the place to sail in the Midwest to a whole new generation of sailors.

BILL MENDEL - Has been instrumental in raising the level of participation and interest in sailboat racing at PYC.  He was responsible for PYC hosting the 2017 U20 National Championships in September. His efforts have generated several new club memberships.

STEVE MURPHY -  He has been instrumental in increasing membership at PYC.  Steve has also worked tirelessly on developing the new membership structure for PYC.  The monthly Sunday morning meetings he helped plan were very informative about what is happening at the club and the new ideas the Board has for the future of PYC.

CHRIS ROSS - Has worked hard this year to increase PYC membership.  He was at the monthly Sunday morning meetings which were organized to introduce the new membership structure of PYC and keep the membership informed of future ideas for the club.  Chris was a huge help at this year's Commodore's Cup.  His presence around the club house moving tables, setting up chairs, and getting other members to help was impressive.  He kept asking the Commodore's Cup Committee members of there was anything that needed to be done for this important event.

Other nominee that has been voted Member of the Year in the past, making her disqualified from the voting this year:

DONNA MASSEY - For her pictures of sunrises and sunsets at PYC that she posts on Facebook. She has been instrumental in organizing several Sailin' Sisters events this year. You never see her without a smile on her face.
